Amber's winter pass time

While grandma practices golf in the backyard, Amber found the lounge chair and takes her favorite bottle out there and lounges out there in a sunny winter day. Looks like she got there with her tricycle. What a good life :)

Picture taking time

Amber got a camera from auntie Caroline and auntie Carina on Xmas. She loves taking pictures of everyone with it. Here she is taking a close up of Jayden. Then she decides to join in. And since Jayden is a cool dude, Amber took the matter into her own hands and showed Jayden how to smile for the camera.

10 weeks old Jayden

Jayden is 10 weeks old now. He likes to be held, but sometimes, he would sit on Amber's Dora chair for a little bit. His hair is starting to stand up like Amber's when she was little. But being a dude, it makes him look pretty stylish, don't you think? :)

Amber loves Jayden didi

Everyday for a few minutes, Amber will demand to hold Jayden. She will sit in her corner on the sofa and talk to Jayden for a couple of minutes. Then she will claim that he is too heavy and passes him back to us. We think she will be a good sister and a good mom when she becomes one :)

1 week old Jayden

Today Jayden is 1 week old. He can stay awake a little longer than before and opens his eyes and starts to stare at you when you look at him. Still can't tell who he looks like, but we know he has daddy's mouth and long piano fingers and long toes, grandma's (daddy side) and grandpa's (mommy side) dimples, grandpa's (daddy side) side burns, and eats like auntie Caroline :)

My baby brother Jayden was born on Oct 17, 2009, 2 weeks before he was supposed to come out. I couldn't go visit him at the hospital due to the H1N1 virus going around right now. But Jayden came home with mommy and daddy 2 days later and I love him so much already!! I would only let mommy hold him for now though, because he is so tiny I am afraid others might drop him. Me, I am a good sister, I can hold him because I always sit down to do it ;)

KaLing & Charles Wedding on Carnival Cruise

Today I went on my first cruise in my life! Though we did not set sail. It was mommy's friend auntie Ka Ling and uncle Charles' wedding on the Carnival Cruise. I enjoyed it very much. I hope I get to go on a real cruise real soon!!

Yes, it is true. I am officially in the Terrible Two age.
2 years ago, I was born on 07/07/07 weighing 7lb 7oz. Now I am almost 34 inches tall and weigh 26 lbs.

On my birthday, I can sign my own Happy Birthday song, and blow out both candles by myself.
I can also tell you and show you with my hands how old I am, look:


My favorite cartoon now is Ni Hao Kailan, then Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
I talk a lot and sing a lot of songs in both Chinese and English, and I am almost tall enough to ride my little tricycle.

Thanks to all the friends who came to celebrate with me. Especially Enzo, who came all the way down from San Francisco. Thank you!! and I miss playing with you already!

22 months

嗨! 好久不見. 媽咪近來都在瞎忙, 好久沒告訴大家我的近況了.

我呢,已經22個月大了喔. 我還是很喜歡吃青菜水果, 尤其是broccoli,草莓和西瓜. 我大概25lb重,高33.5" 吧. 這個冬天我生了好幾次病, 所以媽咪現在每天給我一個維他命. 我會講'一個'喔! 我還會用中文數1到29耶 :)

還有,我五月九號當小阿姨Carina的花童,你看,是不是有模有樣呢!!

Hi all,

Do you guys remember my friend Aidan, he came to visit me when I was just 3 weeks old. Now he is 2 years old, and I'm 21 months old. We sure grew a lot. I think we're going to play together for a long time!

20 months Old

I'm 20 months old and I finally got more teeth out and my hair is long enough to be in pig tails. I also like to dress up and try out different styles. Do you like my cowboy look? :)

New development

So although Amber's been sick for 3 weeks, she's still in good spirit and learning new stuff everyday. Yesterday, she began to put 2 words (noun + verb) together, which is a big developmental stone for babies, and I think pretty early for babies her age (19 monts)! She said 媽咪坐坐 (mommy sit sit), Amber拿拿 (Amber get get), etc. Before she can only say these things separately, like 坐坐, 拿拿, but couldn't put it together with a noun.

Watching a baby grow is just amazing. Makes you appreciate the things you can do a lot more :)

Amber's 1st Disneyland Trip

Daddy's UCLA friends get together every 2 months. This time, we all went to Disneyland for the get together! I think I had more fun playing with my friends than the rides. Let's play again everyone!

Dancing Queen

Yes, I love dancing and I can turn on the CD player myself and dance to the music! You mean mommy didn't mention that before?! Let me show you my dancing skills!!

18 months Old!

Today I am 18 months old, or, like the adults like to say, one and half years old!

I am 31" tall and 23.1 lb. I've lost some weight lately because I was sick a quite a bit this winter.
My favorite TV show (and the only one mommy lets me watch) is Sesame Street. I love Elmo and Abby, although I love saying 'Ernie' the best!

I can pretend play, and I love riding in my little cars and pushing mommy around in them. I love bath time with Daddy, and I still love reading. I enjoy my toys now, though I'm not attached to any of it.

My favorite activity is playing basketball with daddy in the front yard, and watering the flowers with mommy in the back yard.

I love little babies, and I love putting on pretty clothes. Thanks to Mah Mah, I have a lot of pretty clothes to wear all the time! I also love everything that belongs to mommy and daddy, I want to grow up just like them !

I can nap anywhere...

Sometimes when I'm too tired, I just pass out... even if I was on the dinner table....

Pasadena Tournament of Roses - Floats viewing

Mommy Daddy and Grandma took me to see the floats of the famous Tournament of Roses. Every float was detailed with different rose pedals and all natural materials. It was amazing!! I think I have to give my vote to my favorite Sesame Street, because I recognize them! Big Birl, Elmo, Abby!
